Day 25 - July 1, Hebgen Lake to West Yellowstone, 21 miles

We had a pleasant cool morning ride around Hebgen Lake heading to the east on US 287.  At the intersection of 287 and 191 we turned and headed directly south into West Yellowstone.  We wanted a short day to do laundry and stock up before heading into the park tomorrow.   West Yellowstone is a quaint tourist town that borders Yellowstone National Park.  We got second breakfasts at a nice coffee shop while waiting for our hotel room to be ready.  Yesterday we crossed over 1000 miles on our tour and it’s the longest tour either of us has ever done!

Outside seating for our second breakfasts at a nice coffee shop and bakery and a bookstore

At some point we lost a short tent pole which helps to lift the rain fly off the tent.  Not critical but really nice to have.  We called Big Agnes and they shipped a new one to our West Yellowstone hotel.  Thanks Big Agnes!
